GIFIS

The Gatchina Institute for Integral Studies was born as a response to the current challenges of the new millennium. GIFIS was founded on August 1, 2022 in the suburbs of St. Petersburg - the city of Gatchina. The inspirers of its creation were young scientists, researchers, public and creative figures, representatives of a new wave of human development. The GIFIS team strives to understand the surrounding reality in all its diversity through an integral, holistic approach, the founder of which is the world famous philosopher Ken Wilber. Our goal is to contribute to the global transformation of the world around us and humanity as a species towards a more balanced and harmonious future. The Institute is engaged in research, educational and enlightement projects and initiatives. All our programs and projects are aimed at the development of world science and human potential. We work for everyone.

Combining cultural studies, anthropology, systems theory, developmental psychology, biology, and spirituality, Integral Theory has applications in areas as diverse as ecology, sustainable development, economics, psychotherapy, psychiatry, education, business, medicine, politics, sports, and the arts. In our current postmodern world, we have many methodologies and practices from many fields and traditions of knowledge. However, what is missing is the coherent organization and coordination of all these different practices, as well as the corresponding datasets. What is needed is an approach that goes beyond this indiscriminate eclectic pluralism, towards an “Integral Methodological Pluralism”—a movement towards a true “theory of everything” that helps to enrich and deepen each field through a precise understanding of how and where each of them relates to all the others. An integral approach is the coordinated organization, coordination and harmonization of all relevant practices, methodologies and experiences available to people. Through the Integral Approach, we are uncovering previously unseen opportunities for a better, more compassionate and more sustainable future for all of us.
